After more than 26 years on Norton Street, Leichardt, Grappa founder Charlie Colosi and his wife Virginie bring their spirit of hospitality and generosity to The Rocks. Housed within one of Sydney’s most iconic sandstone buildings in The Rocks — originally built as a bakehouse — the space enters a new era as Grappa The Rocks.
Seating over 200 guests across two levels, the space has been carefully restored to honour its layered past while creating something fresh, warm and distinctly Italian. An open kitchen and bar anchor the ground floor, while upstairs, a cocktail lounge and private dining rooms overlooking Sydney Harbour
The name Grappa is a tribute to Charlie’s father, whose love of Italian wine and spirits meant no meal ever ended without a round poured for the table.
Today, Charlie and his family continue that ritual, offering every guest a grappa at the end of their meal — a tribute to his father and a celebration of true Italian hospitality.
